Harsh was excellent in his hospitality and the food was as authentic as it can be. I come from Hubli Dharwad area and I can say I was really happy to see Girmit in the menu, probably the only place in UK which offers this dish. It was very good, i felt at home by tasting the Girmit here. We did try several other food items like stuffed aloo paratha, chole puri, wada pav, schezwan rice, paneer tawa pulav and I have to say not one dish was any less than absolutely tasty.. It’s very good choice of menu and real good quality of preparation. @Harsh / Owners of Ranga: Please consider coming to Hamilton or Glasgow, they both have Indian crowd. Hamilton is very good to choose an outlet with growing Indian community!

Amazing Indian Street Food! We had the Chicken Dosa and Carrot Halwa at Ranga Indian Street Food, and both were absolutely delicious - authentic and tasted just like homemade. The Chicken Dosa was the best I’ve had in Edinburgh! Big thanks to Sanjay for his warm hospitality... it really made the experience even better. Highly recommend to anyone who loves fresh, home-style Indian food!

Had dinner at Ranga with friends tonight, and it was easily one of the best Indian meals I’ve had in Edinburgh. The restaurant specialises in South Indian food, but also serves North Indian favourites and desi Chinese. We ordered aloo and cheese parathas, aubergine curry, and chicken 65. The parathas were big, hearty, and filling, while the curry had that authentic, home-cooked taste that reminded us of India. The real surprise was the Mangalorean banana buns. Soft, slightly sweet, and paired with freshly made coconut chutney. The coconut chutney was nothing like the store-bought versions most places serve: So good! I’ve eaten at all the popular Indian restaurants in Edinburgh, but Ranga stands out. The food is top-notch and incredibly affordable, which makes it even better. A huge shoutout to Sanjay, the owner, whose passion for good food and great service was clear from the moment we walked in. And the chef deserves all the Praise. Already planning my next visit for dosas and desi Chinese, which looked and smelled amazing at the next table.

This place is small but the food is awesome. The owner greets every customer with smile and asks them for their feedback. We ordered panipuri, vada pav, chicken 65, chicken noodles and chole puri. Everything is delicious and has authentic Indian taste. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who wants to eat authentic Indian street food. The prices are so affordable compared to others shops in Edinburgh.
